Zoo Safari of Fasano

The renowned Zoo Safari of Fasano, also known as Fasanolandia, is the largest wildlife park in Italy and Europe. It covers an area of over 140 hectares in the Selva di Fasano, characterized by Mediterranean scrubland with centuries-old olive trees and carob trees. The park hosts approximately 1,800 specimens of 250 different animal species, living freely and able to approach visitors.
It is divided into several animal areas, including the Safari, the Tropical Hall, the Ornithological Hall, the Metrozoo, and the suggestive Lake of Large Mammals of the Oceanic Environment.
At the Zoo Safari of Fasano:
- After the Safari, visitors can explore the Lake of Large Mammals, home to polar bears, brown bears, rhinoceroses, hippos, and seals.
- The tour continues in the Monkey Village, where over 315 baboons live freely and can be admired from a protected train.
- At certain times, visitors can also explore the Tropical Hall, which includes a vivarium, an aquarium, and a reptile house.
